| Jennifer Cignoni was born in Illinois in 1972. She began her life with animals as a child with the family Poodle, Cairn terrier and Parakeet. Her journey towards a professional career with animals started at seven years old when she began riding horses. After three years of lessons her parents bought her, her first horse, a paint named “White Knight” AKA Turkey. Jennifer showed Turkey on the Pinto circuit for 10 years all over the Midwest. During these years she acquired 5 R.O.M’s with the PtHA and was Champion in Western and English Pleasure.
In 1990 Jennifer started working in the veterinary industry with the intension of becoming a Veterinarian. She began as a kennel technician and with her hard work ethic quickly graduated to become a veterinary technician a year later. She worked in both California and Arizona as a veterinary technician over a nine year period. During her time in the vet clinics she learned how to give sub-Q, IM and IV injections, medicate orally, draw blood, assist in surgery and monitor anesthetic, bandage, restrain and hold animals, along with how to read blood work and basic education on most diseases and medications. Jennifer also completed her pet nutritional certification with Hill’s Pet Nutrition in the mid 1990’s and has had the benefit of working with an avian specialist for a period of time. As a result she has more bird care skills such as the ability to do wing, nail and beak trims.
After so many years in the pet care industry her experience has well acquainted her with the minimal stresses that can affect your pet’s health. Therefore, she is able to detect normally overlooked problems, avoid potential health risks, provide proper medical care if necessary and react quickly in an emergency.
In 1998, Jennifer and her husband Andy noticed the need for quality in home pet care and pet sitting in phoenix and started The Animal’s Kingdom Pet Sitting Service, and her knowledge and advice is always available to all her pet sitters. Currently, after 30 years in the animal industry Jennifer still owns and operated The Animal’s Kingdom Pet Sitting Service as well as, teaching a dog, cat, and horse Pet CPR/First Aid course. She also trains and gives lessons at her equine facility in Scottsdale. Jennifer is currently a carded judge with the APHA, PtHA and IBHA.
Andrew Cignoni was born in New Hampshire in 1973. He began his career as a criminal justice major at the University of Massachusetts. Andy had worked in the security field for five years before Jennifer and he started The Animal’s Kingdom Pet Sitting Service. His training and practical experience taught him how giving your home a lived-in look is a crucial part of theft deterrence and what steps are necessary to achieve that look. During his many years in the field he has developed the skills necessary to better protect your home and he teaches many of these techniques to the sitters contracted by The Animal’s Kingdom.
Andy has also grown up with dogs and cats, always as a part of his family. He is pet CPR/First Aid Certified with the American Red Cross, and is experienced in giving oral, transdermal and injectible medications.
