The Animal's Kingdom's sister company Mango Consultants will be holding a Pet CPR/First Aid class in Phoenix on Saturday November 19th from 9-2:00pm. You will learn invaluable knowledge that could save a pet's life! This course is veterinary approved and taught by Jennifer Cignoni. Jennifer was a veterinary nurse and veterinary surgical assistant for nine years before she and her husband, Andy, started The Animal's Kingdom Pet Sitting Service in 1998. Jennifer has also been training and showing Paint horses for over 25 years and is currently a carded judge with the IBHA and PtHA. This 5 hour course, with lunch provided, is a must for all dog, cat, and horse owners or professional pet care providers. It will cover all aspects of first aid including:

- Allergic reactions, choking, poisoning
- How to handle injuries from broken nails to lacerations to broken bones
- Illnesses from bloat to urinary tract and ear infections
- Venomous bites
- Basic pet care, diet and exercise
- Disaster preparedness
- Medication and injection administration
- Bandaging techniques
- Gestation and birth
- How to identify poisonous wildlife (plants, food, and animals)
- How to take vitals-Temperature, Pulse, Respiration, CRT
- Heat Stroke and Frost Bite
- 20 minute Equine first aid video
- Proper dog and cat CPR instruction and to get practice your new skills on our brand new life size mannequins and MUCH MORE!!!
We added an equine first aid section to our class. It will cover how to take vitals, recognize colic, how to bandage lacerations, lavage wounds, give injections, and much more. Your enrollment in this class guarantees you an official Red Cross Dog first aid book and DVD and/or an official Red Cross Cat first aid book and DVD that you can refer to as needed. Both books are over 100 pages in length and are yours to keep after course completion. Equine DVDs are available for $10.00. You will also receive a Pet CPR Certification card recognizing your achievement.
Children 7-13 years old are one free registration with a paid adult registration.
